What do you think is the number attitude to self improvement? To want to improve on something, means to make the thing better and to want to make something better means you love that thing. To want to improve on yourself means you love yourself. In my opinion, generally self improvement is not a general attitude. To not have self improvement as a general attitude means there is lack of love for one’s self.
The number one attitude to self improvement is self love. Self improvement cannot exist without self love. The reason self improvement is not common is because we don’t love ourselves
Most times, people prefer to change instead of loving themselves. To want to change also means you love yourself but the best and number attitude should be loving yourself first then every other thing follows. Some people use loving yourself as an escape route from low self esteem. Instead of not being seen as less than others or not to think of yourself as less than others, others purposely use loving yourself as an escape route. If you use loving yourself as an escape route then you are hating yourself. Loving yourself should come natural and not as an escape route. Loving yourself should be a form of awareness of one’s self.
It is very unfortunate as there are a lot of people who think of themselves as ugly, not good enough, nothing and irrelevant. When you love yourself, you respect yourself. They teach us to respect others but didn’t to teach us to respect ourselves. Loving yourself starts with respecting yourself. We learn to love ourselves, respect and begin the steps in self improvement. If you love anyone, then you obviously, you want the best for them, The kind of love we give to our lover, family and even material things should be the same way or more that we should give to our self because we deserve the best always.
I advice to take your time to read the list above, understand and make use of them for proper attitude towards self improvement.
Love yourself because while people come in and out your life, you will always remain.
Love yourself because you’ve been blessed with the skin you’re in, so wear it comfortably.
Love yourself because it isn’t up to others to love you; it’s a blessing when they do love you. When you love yourself, you allow yourself to let go of the expectation of others to do so.
Love yourself because wishing to be someone else is a sentence of misery and exhaustion. Regardless of where you may go or what you do, you will be who you are for the rest of your life.
Love yourself because when you are loving toward yourself, you attract people who love you too.
Love yourself because, as Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Hate is too great of a burden to bear.”
Love yourself because you’re an artwork of DNA.
Love yourself because your weaknesses are disguised as a journey, ready for you to explore.
Love yourself because once you accept who you are, you can focus your energy on other matters and people in your life.
