When you are trying to be perfect, it only means you think you are not perfect which means you think you are not good enough. Being perfect is everyone’s dream. We think if we have not done anything we think it’s perfect, we have not done anything at all. If we focus on trying to be perfect, we won’t get anything done because we would always think what we have done is not worthy. Every progress, work, hard work has worth. To get things done and progress in life, we should focus on making progress and not trying to be perfect. “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out – Robert Collier”. The addition of our progress is what will become out success. We always focus on trying to be perfect only. Perfect is not the best thing in the world. Sometimes perfect is seen as not perfect.
Trying to be perfect instead of progressing is the beginning of depression. When we look at things around us that look perfect, its not that they are perfect, they just look good enough for our eyes and soul. They looking good enough means they progressed to where they are and they can progress better later. They say nothing is perfect and you are trying to achieve perfection? Trying to achieve something that is not possible? When you are trying to achieve something that is not possible, you are putting yourself at a loss.
Disadvantages of perfectionism
Stress because of too much pressure
You will be depressed
Success will be impossible
Waste of productivity
Waste of time
These disadvantages about being perfect is why we actually try to be perfect. If the reasons we try to be perfect are the disadvantages of perfect, we have no choice but to stop trying to be perfect.
How to stop being perfect
To stop being perfect is difficult because we know and feel that if we are perfect, we have life at our finger tips.
