Are your friends your enemies?: I will ask that question in reverse “Are your enemies your friends?” Are your friends your enemies? Are your enemies your friends? Who do you or who are the people you keep company with? There’s a popular saying “Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are” Your friends can change your life and can also ruin you. Who are your friends? Do you really know your friends? Some of us keep company with people we know nothing about until they ruin us before we know they were the kinds of people we shouldn’t have kept company with. Know your friends. Some of them might be your enemy. In my post how to deal with negative people, I wrote “The purpose of keeping your enemies close is that they will be the first to let you know when you are not doing something right and that is good for you because you will now be able to adjust your errors and have a better work”. As you keep your enemies close, watch your back. Read my post on 3 reasons you should love your enemies and your friend your enemy for more information.
Is your perspective about life disturbing you?: Some of us are not comfortable with our personal thoughts or with the way the society has made us think. Either ladies should be married before 28, you have to be successful at age 25, fat people cannot be loved and so on. The society will make you think if you fall in any of these categories or more, you are cursed. Your perspective of life might be eating you up. Have you stopped yourself to ask yourself why do I think this way? Could this be right or wrong? Your perspective about life can limit your progress. What lifestyle do you live?: What kind of life do you live? We live some lifestyles that sometimes when we look back, we regret we lived them. If you were conscious about your lifestyle, you wouldn’t have lived that kind of life you are regretting. If you are conscious about your lifestyle, you will know the kind of life to live and not to live to avoid future regrets. If you could change one thing, what would it be?: What is that one thing? What have you done about it? Or is it just complaining and blaming others that you have done about it? Endeavour to do something about that one thing you wish to change if it can be changed. If it can’t be changed, fine!
Does your goal scare you?: In my write-up think big, I wrote “Greatness by the name implies, great which can mean big. To achieve greatness, you have to be ready to think big and achieve big. Big can feel impossible or scary and that is why when done, it feels like greatness.” If your goal doesn’t scare you, you have no goal. Because of the difficulty of scoring a goal in a football match, when a player scores a goal, it is like the greatest thing that has ever happened to him judging from the joy they display on tv. That is how you will feel when you achieve your big goal. Make that goal big, big enough it seems impossible and scares you and watch yourself dive into greatness.
